The Last CSA Box Dwindles...

Savory Pancakes: vegan chipotle sausage, purple onion*, garden jalapeño (we had okonomiyaki sauce with these, but I didn't think it was the best fit)

Greens: swiss chard*, garden kale, gomasio

Turnips: roasted in peanut oil and salt

check out my new-old china! the set is incomplete, but very special as its our first set of matching dishes.

I must confess I'm a little sad this week. I'm going to have to start shopping for veggies again, and rationing them out slowly. Fall is here, c'est la vie.

I still have my mom's old 'china' that she had when she got married. We've never used it and its in boxes in the basement. If you're interested... (sorry that just came to me).

I love pancakes, but I've never had them savory! I also think this place setting looks oh-so-pretty. xo

Is it now a competition to see who's veggies last the longest? We had a spinach salad last night, and have a few other things still left.

I'll win if you count rotten veggies! I always leave something too long and have to compost it. :) The potatoes and onions will be around for a while for us... We love 'em, but during the week, we hardly have time to cook & eat together lately! Boo.
